1Proprietor: identity & address

  • PAN card
  • Aadhaar card (mobile number linked for OTP)
  • Passport-size photograph (recent)
  • Address proof: voter ID, passport, driving licence or latest bank statement / utility bill (not older than 2 months)
  • Active mobile number and email ID

2Registered / business address proof

  • Latest utility bill: electricity, water, gas or landline (not older than 2 months)
  • If rented: registered rent agreement plus a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) from the owner
  • If owned: property tax receipt, sale deed or ownership document

3Bank details

  • Cancelled cheque or first page of bank passbook / statement showing name, account number and IFSC

4Business details

  • Proposed trade name of the firm
  • Nature of business activity
  • Estimated turnover and number of employees (if known)

5Registrations usually taken with it

  • Shop & Establishment, GST, Udyam (MSME) or trade licence as applicable
  • A current bank account in the firm’s name is recommended once registered
